Emily Jorgenson has been teaching struggling readers for over 25 years. She has a Bachelor of Science in Mild/Moderate Special Education, a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction and endorsements in reading and educational leadership.  She is certified in the Wilson Language Program and an Acadience mentor. She has been trained in LETRS volumes 2 and 3 and is a LETRS facilitator for the state of Utah.  Prior to moving to Wasatch School District, Emily worked in a self-contained learning center in Davis School District as a mild/moderate special education teacher. After seven years in that position, she moved back to her hometown of Midway and has worked at Heber Valley Elementary as a resource teacher, an intervention specialist and, most recently, a literacy coach. Some of her favorite educational topics include MTSS, struggling readers, explicit instruction, brain research, Visible Learning, and evidence based practices for reading.
