I am in my 9th year of teaching science. I received an unexpected award last year as the 7th grade science teacher of the year for the state of Utah. My masters degree is in science curriculum development with an emphasis on differentiated instruction. I love, love hands-on science and getting to know my students as individual learners. Before I was a teacher I was a wildlife biologist and worked in the field for 10 years on endangered species-whooping crane, peregrine falcon, Gunnison sage grouse, and the Boreal toad. NOW I just manage middle school WILDLIFE :) and I love it!
